Aren´t we looking constantly for things to make our lives easier? I definitely do and Amazon really is a great source for pieces to get nowhere else. In times of the Coronavirus and staying at home a lot I have spend a great amount of time on there and found some awesome pieces.

Amazon Top 5 Household Gadgets

Here are my top 5 household gadgets I love to use and don´t want to miss.

Attachable Pasta Strainer // This is probably the most used gadget of all. It is so so convenient if you are cooking a ton of pasta cause you can easily attach it to your pot and drain all the water. Then you have hot pasta ready to serve.

Coffee Mug Warmer // Came across another bloggers post through this genious piece. Don´t we all know the perks of taking calls, opening doors or taking care of our babies all while our hot delicious cup of coffee is getting lukewarm?!

Multiple Hanger for Skirts // It is supposed to hang 4 pairs of skirts but you can easily double or triple it as the clips are strong enough so this means you can easily store up to 12 skirts on one hanger. If that isn´t a space saver for your closet I don´t know what is.

Fabric Shaver // The perfect tool to quickly remove fabric pills from your beloved clothes. Works quick and easy and leaves your clothing looking brandnew.

Floor Mop // I had a Swiffer up to date and ended up disliking it cause it didn´t really clean my floors. Just was a quick solution for inbetween cleanings. This item is really great. It comes with two microfibre cloths and an attachment for window cleaning. You can put your cleaning solution and water into the little container on the front and spray before you mop. It is super easy and not messy at all in comparison with a bucket full of water.

My top 5 items. Do you have specific pieces off of Amazon you can´t life without? I woul d love to hear about them.

Hi you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I totally thought it was Monday all day today but to be honest since the baby is here I have never been more tired than today. Maybe the tirednes adds up a little more every day and on some days I don´t get to nap so that makes it even worse.

Since the restaurants and all the other places for amusement are still closed due to the stupid Coronavirus and not going to open in the foreseable future I put together some ideas for your spouse and you if you still don´t want to dispense you weekly date night. Sure you are spending all day everyday together but is it really quality time you need or are you just co-existing at home.

Date Night Ideas for #socialdistancing Times

#1 // Cook together – not only is it super fun, it also tastes way better if you have a meal made from scratch together

#2 // Get a glass of wine and spend the evening on the patio together (no phones etc., if you are lucky and have a patio or balcony

#3 // Get some take-out and eat it at a festive set table (immediately creates a special atmosphere even if it just Chinese take-out from around the corner)

#4 // Watch a movie together in Cinema Atmosphere (with Disney+, Netflix and everything else you can pick a nice movie you both would enjoy to watch, make some popcorn or other Cinema related snacks)

#5 // Play boardgames together (this isn´t probably for anyone as not everyone likes to play in general but if you are a fan I think this would be a nice change)

#6 // If you have a garden gather all things for a picnic and have dinner under the stars

Make sure to dress up and create special memories for your at home quarantine dates as this is hopefully a once in a lifetime thing we will never forget.

FYI: I prepared this blog post before our baby girl arrived so there would still be fresh content on the blog while I am taking a break from blogging. That’s why you’ll still see me pregnant or referencing my pregnancy in some upcoming blog posts!

Good morning y´all,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I decided to shoot the nursery before baby girl get´s here simply because I am sure I will have plenty of pictures with her later on and it is just easier to take photos without a newborn (at least that is what I think).

The theme of the nursery is jungle book or lots of animals. It came together easily as the room was already nicely painted when we moved in so we decided to leave it that way and figure out what to do with the room as we needed it (side note – we both absolutely loathe painting so this was a nice surprise).

First thing I ever got for this room were the banana leaf curtains from H&M and then I went from there with all white furniture, a golden carpet matching the tipi and the floor and lots of stuffed animals you can also find in the prints on the wall.

One of the highlights definitely is the customized name plate above her bed. I have found it at an Etsy shop and it came very quick made of great quality. Going to link the shop here

Since I started working on the room before we even knew what gender our baby had this makes the perfect gender neutral nursery.

Do you prefer more or less color for home decor in general ? Would you go with a green wall?

Happy Tuesday friends,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

hopefully you had a good start into the new week. It is day 11 in home quarantine over here and we are still in a good mood. There are lots of things you can do to distract yourself for most of the day, at least for us. Maybe it is easy to say for me cause we don´t have any kids in the house yet (waiting on baby girl to make here appearance but she for sure is taking her sweet time) but it is still a ton of time to pass without having the opportunity to go anywhere than on a walk.

I wanted to share some activities which we included in our daily schedule so time will pass a little quicker or at all.

What to do at home…

1 // Read – Now is finally the time to dust of all the books in your shelves and finally start reading them or get some off from amazon. I always have a bunch on my wishlist I plan on purchasing from other reviews.

2 // Watch Netflix – The time probably won´t come again were it is acceptable to binge watch for days. There are tons of great shows on Netflix. I have done two round-ups you can read for inspo here and here.

3 // Make a puzzle – We got a 1000 piece puzzle and believe me this task is going to occupy a lot of your time and it is super calming. It has been years since I have done a puzzle and I have to admit I love it.

4 // Play board games – A great way to pass time and interact with your partner but I would only recommend if you aren´t highly competitive cause you at least have to stay inside for another two weeks.

5 // Organize your house – Not everyone´s favorite but definitley one over here. Amazon still ships so you can get all the container or inserts you would need to organize certain rooms/categories in your home like the pantry, your jewelry or beauty corner.

6 // Do online workout classes – Many gyms or/and even dance studios offer online workout classes or dancing lessons. A fun alternative to sporting outdoors and also spend productive time with your significant other.

7 // Take daily walks – If you are still allowed to do so this is a task which should be done everyday. Getting in fresh air, movements and sunshine is super healthy for your body and mind which is really important at the moment.

8 // Try out new recipes- Definitely another reason for a daily number 7 cause with all that time on hand I have never tried out more different recipes than these days. I already made these delicious flourless peanut butter cookies from The Lemon Blonde and a Dutch Baby (an oven baked pancake) twice.

9 // Do your taxes – If you should get super bored despite all of the activities you can still do your taxes for last year.

I hope you are all staying healthy and as much home as possible so far. It is a difficult and strange time but it will also pass like so many others did before and we hopefully come out smarter and more resilient than before.
