FYI: I prepared this blog post before our baby girl arrived so there would still be fresh content on the blog while I am taking a break from blogging. That’s why you’ll still see me pregnant or referencing my pregnancy in some upcoming blog posts!

Delivering a baby the second time around also brings its ups and downs although you have been through it once. You know exactly what happens but therefore you know EXACTLY what happens so it won´t be as much of a surprise.

I am definitely packing smarter and lighter the second time around (which doesn´t mean that I still overpack) cause I know what I needed and what not plus I now know what I haven´t packed and missed dearly. Other than that lots of things are on repeat but I got this neat weekender bag with leopard print and a matching diaper backpack.

What´s in my hospital bag the second time around…

For the baby

– monogrammed hat and bow, mittens, little shoes for going home, several pacifier cause I don´t know now which one she will like, a cute toy for pictures and of course the most adorable bag for baby girl´s things

– aiden + anais gowns, pj´s, velcro swaddle, Love To Swaddle Sleepsack, white noise mashine

– burp clothes (which I am also planning on using as backdrop for pictures), monogrammed blanket, diaper bag for our way home

– going home outfit for warm and for cool days, several onesies, outfits for photos in the hospital

For mama

– definitely my own pillow and blanket

– hakaa silicone pump, little baby bottle to feed the milk from the other breast, portable fan, night light, extra long charging cable and other adapter, ear pods, Laptop

– make-up bag and train case with toiletries, snacks, medicine and everything I need to take a shower, my own big bath towel

– huge water tumbler, hemorroid pillow, personal documents, little wallet with coins

– hospital gown, several nightgowns, nursing pj´s, robe for pictures, nursing bras, going home outfit, shower shoes

(I haven´t shared any pictures cause it is mostly the stuff I packed for my first delivery. You can view it here.)

Diaper Bag Organization for a Toddler…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

Having a toddler of two years now doesn´t mean I am carrying less with me than having a newborn baby. Although the things are really different a toddler definitely requires a lot of stuff too.

Especially when you have an active one like we do. I always have a change of clothes for Emilia with us as well as a towel, some burp clothes, lots of wipes and snacks. Having all things diaper change with us hasn´t changed, only the size of the diapers.

To be honest I have tried a fair share of diaper bags and non-diaper bags I wanted to make work but haven´t been very satisfied with either solution. Most of the diaper bags are just too small and I can not fit all the things in there and that totally annoys me. Then I got an insert for the Neverfull (I have the large one) but this wasn´t the perfect solution as well and I didn´t like it as much as I wished cause I wanted a bag that closes with a zipper.

Then I have found out about the MC Wallace but I was hesitant at first cause it is pricey but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It is durable, lightweight, easy to clean, big enough to fit all of our stuff and available in lots of colors.

My model is the MC Wallace Large MetroTote in color Magnet. I do not have the Deluxe Edition cause I don´t need the shoulder straps as the handles are wide enough to wear over the shoulder.

I got the dark grey color cause it matches our stroller really good but I was eyeing with the shiny golden color as well. The Metro Tote closes with a zipper and stays closed on its own which I appreciate very much. It fits lots of Emilia´s stuff and will also come in very handy when we have to carry baby no. 2´s things as well.

So far I have never looked bag and didn´t regret getting it at all. It really is a great bag and would also make an amazing bag for a weekend away or for travelling on a plane. It still looks brand new although we use it every day.

How I organize our diaper bag

As far as organizing goes I love to use those document folders that close with a zipper. I got different sizes for to store and organize all the different things in the bag. I hate searching  a bag up and down for things. This is really irritating for me and makes me super angry.

To make it even easier to find stuff (even for the husband) I got a bunch of cute little sticker tags from an etsy shop and I definitely love how it turned out. I got one for snacks, books, pens and cards, extra clothes, wipes and small medical things.

Happy Hump Day Girls,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

we just came back from play group and Emilia is napping so I wanted to quickly share this post with you. Packing for a toddler needs a minute of planning cause it is super overwhelming.

In fact you have to pack everything you use at home and more. Yeah that sounds like a lot am I right?! So in today´s post I wanted to share some of my favorites for travelling and also how I pack for Emilia.

How to pack for a toddler

So I wanted to give you a little insight on how I pack for Emilia. I have three things I do. First of all I lay out all of her outfits and put them together the way I planned her to wear them. After that I put them into packing cubes. This is my number one thing I pack all of our luggage. Packing cubes are your friends. They keep your luggage/weekender in order which is important if you want to have quick access to your things plus you won´t get annoyed by searching.

I have train cases for all of us. I got the same model in different colors and I put everyones toiletry in it. This way it´s color coded and I know where everything is. This might seem obsessive to some but it does the trick and in the end that´s what´s important.

So another piece we all have is the Reisenthel Allrounder in size large. There are tons of colors available and you can get it personalized which is great. I have used it for years of travel and also for my stay in the hospital. I got my husband one for his birthday and now Emilia has her first weekender. They hold a lot of stuff and look great as well plus they are super affordable.

I know this might seem a little obsessive but this is just how I know where everything is and I have quick access to it if I need to. Vacations can be stressful enough so you shouldn´t stress about all the other things.

Some of our favorite travel gadgets for road trips and hotel stays are listed below. You can all get them off amazon and in my opinion every item was totally worth it.

Baby Girl Easter Inspo…

….

Happy Tuesday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

Easter is right around the corner (12 days away) so I just wanted to know if you are prepped already? I am done early this year whith decor and gifts because we have Emilia´s birthday celebration on the weekend and one week isn´t enough time for me to get everything done. I mean I only have about 3 hours a day were she naps.

So let´s talk about the baby girl Easter inspo in this blog post. I think baby things are the cutest and printing little bunnies on them makes them even more adorable.

Easter Inspo for Babies

Golden sandals // Pink sandals // denim sandals – baby sandals are the cutest. I can not wait for her to wear these in the Summer.

Yellow ruffle dress // Easter Bunny dress // Easter Bunny Set – The cutest Spring/Summer/Easter dresses for baby girl. An a line dress on a baby is the most adorable thing I have seen in a while.

Bunny book // Easter story book – I got different Easter books for Emilia. I personally love to change her books seasonally. She loves to look at her books and does this several times a day.

Easter basket // Got a soft Easter basket like this one for our Easter Egg hunt. I don´t want her to get hurt by falling over and onto a wooden basket plus they are available in beautiful Spring colors.

Stuffed bunny // I just had to. We definitely have enough stuffed animals but what is Easter without a fluffy bunny.

Eggs for Easter Egg Hunt // Hopefully she will understand the concept of collecting the eggs but either way I am sure it is going to be so much fun for her.

I got a stuffed bunny and some books for Emilia´s Easter basket plus a soft Easter basket for her to collect Easter Eggs in the garden. Hopefully the weather will be nice.
