Diaper Bag Organization for a Toddler…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate LInks-not sponsored)

Having a toddler of two years now doesn´t mean I am carrying less with me than having a newborn baby. Although the things are really different a toddler definitely requires a lot of stuff too.

Especially when you have an active one like we do. I always have a change of clothes for Emilia with us as well as a towel, some burp clothes, lots of wipes and snacks. Having all things diaper change with us hasn´t changed, only the size of the diapers.

To be honest I have tried a fair share of diaper bags and non-diaper bags I wanted to make work but haven´t been very satisfied with either solution. Most of the diaper bags are just too small and I can not fit all the things in there and that totally annoys me. Then I got an insert for the Neverfull (I have the large one) but this wasn´t the perfect solution as well and I didn´t like it as much as I wished cause I wanted a bag that closes with a zipper.

Then I have found out about the MC Wallace but I was hesitant at first cause it is pricey but the pros definitely outweigh the cons. It is durable, lightweight, easy to clean, big enough to fit all of our stuff and available in lots of colors.

My model is the MC Wallace Large MetroTote in color Magnet. I do not have the Deluxe Edition cause I don´t need the shoulder straps as the handles are wide enough to wear over the shoulder.

I got the dark grey color cause it matches our stroller really good but I was eyeing with the shiny golden color as well. The Metro Tote closes with a zipper and stays closed on its own which I appreciate very much. It fits lots of Emilia´s stuff and will also come in very handy when we have to carry baby no. 2´s things as well.

So far I have never looked bag and didn´t regret getting it at all. It really is a great bag and would also make an amazing bag for a weekend away or for travelling on a plane. It still looks brand new although we use it every day.

How I organize our diaper bag

As far as organizing goes I love to use those document folders that close with a zipper. I got different sizes for to store and organize all the different things in the bag. I hate searching  a bag up and down for things. This is really irritating for me and makes me super angry.

To make it even easier to find stuff (even for the husband) I got a bunch of cute little sticker tags from an etsy shop and I definitely love how it turned out. I got one for snacks, books, pens and cards, extra clothes, wipes and small medical things.

Easter Basket Ideas for Little Kids (Age 2)…

….

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennenung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

Putting together gift baskets is a favorite of mine especially since having Emilia. Finding cute little kids gifts is so much fun and she is always so happy and excited when she gets a basket for a holiday.

So since Easter is next week already I am in full force preparing Easter content for you and this post might be one of my favorites so far. We don´t want to go overboard for Emilia´s Easter presents cause it was her birthday a week ago and she got so so many gifts plus in my opinion it should have good size to hide outside.

What to put into a kids Easter basket

I always try to add as many different things as possible to my baskets so for Emilia´s Easter basket I went with a bunch of cute little things:

Sidewalk chalk // This might be super fun for Spring and Summer. She loves to draw and paint and this way our little artist can draw outside as well.

Stuffed bunny // A little bunny is a must in my opinion so I got her this cute little fellow. It is super soft and so sweet.

Easter books // Emilia loves books. Any kind of book she goes crazy about so I went with these two Easter themed books she will really enjoy.

Chocolate lamb // Of course we need some chocolate for Easter. I am not going to fill the eggs for our Easter egg hunt with chocolate so this little pink lamb will have to do the trick.

Peter Rabbit Tonie // Listening to music or stories on our Tony box is always a huge hit. A Easter themed Tony like Peter Rabbit who is telling all the stories of the characters from the Peter Rabbit Easter book I got her last year will hopefully be as cute as the book and bring some Easter spirit.

Doll clothes and sleep sack // Emilia has become a real doll “mom” recently and loves to care for all of her dolls so I got her a sleep sack to put her favorite doll to sleep as well as a surpise egg with an outfit for one of her little dolls.

Easter themed cookies // I have found these little carrot shaped cookies at our local drug store and thought they would be great to fit the theme and also a great alternative for chocolate.

Other things which are great to add are little figurines from Schleich, Duplo or Playmobil 123 or clothes. For Spring themed things are really nice as well as pieces for swimming. Sandbox toys are also always a big hit.

Are you already done prepping for Easter or are you still looking for the perfect pieces for your kids Easter baskets ? The basket I am using here is the same I have used for the Valentine´s Day things. I got it from an Etsy shop. You can order it here.

All the details to Emilia´s Minnie Mouse Birthday Party…

….

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

the weekend is finally here and also the pictures of Emilia´s first birthday are back. How adorable has the Minnie Mouse theme been? The cake I ordered was so cute I almost cried when I cut into it. Also the cupcakes were the most precious I have ever seen.

I wanted to share all the items and info with you guys here on the blog cause I got some questions and sharing it on here means it stays on my platform forever.

The theme I decided was Minnie Mouse for my little girl cause I think it is an absolute gorgeous theme for a girl´s birthday party plus we gave a Mickey Mouse stuffed animal to her some months ago and she takes it everywhere she goes so I thouht the theme would be on point as she already knows and likes her mouse plus her mommy is a huge Disney fan.

And I know it only was her first birthday party and I probably went a little overbord but so what. We have been in lockdown for so long and restricted to do so much I wanted to have the most beautiful first birthday for her even if she won´t remember it. There will always be tons of photos and items for her keepsake box.

What to include into a Minnie Mouse birthday party

The Cake

The first thing I always think about when choosing a party theme is the cake. I love cakes and the looks of them and always wanted to have a tree-tier birthday cake for my child. Now I can finally have those. I have found various pictures of Minnie Mouse cakes on Pinterest and ordered a mix between 4 or 5 different cakes.

Is one cake enough or is more required. To be honest the huge cake would have been enough cause we only invited the grand-parents due to the Corona restrictions but I wanted the little cupcakes too. A baker nearby make those and they tasted so so good plus how cute are the little cookie ears in the buttercream?!

The Decor

So party decor is right up my alley. In fact all decor is but who is counting. I get most of my party decor from Pink Dots Party Store. They have sorted their items by themes and/or color and you know me – I love great organisation.

Here is what I got from Pink Party Dots:

red/white/black rosettes / red photo backdrop garland / red dot napkins / black dot napkins

The table decor includes some things from amazon as well as etsy. These three are my go-to for every party. The cupcake etagere is from amazon and holds 24 pieces. The black sequins tablecloth is from etsy. It is huge and looked so pretty. The Minnie Mouse letters are a download from etsy. I went to a copy shop to print them on thicker paper to cute them out and make garland for Emilia out of it. To be honest I was very proud of myself cause it turned out great.

The Photo Backdrop

Who wouldn´t want a huge ballon arch occupying their living room days before the party!!! No just kidding I loved our ballon arch. It was easier to assemble than I thought and I did it with a friend of mine and to say we were pretty damn proud of ourselves would be an understatement. I got the ballon kit off of amazon plus the band to attach the ballons. The whole ballon arch concept is self-explaining once you unpacked it all. And one more thing – if you are planning on doing one you need to get an electric pump otherwise you won´t make it out alive. It still took us some time with the mashine but at least it didn´t take our breath. Since I am no one for white walls I added the red photo backdrop garland (used the same one for NYE) and really like the way it looked. This was smash cake area and it looked so great in the pictures. Highly recommend getting one of these for any kind of backdrop you would need. They are inexpensive and so easy to hang.

The birthday girl´s outfit

Our little birthday girl had two outfits. One for her great entrance including the cake smashing and one to be clean and comfortable after. I got this adorable red polka dot tulle skirt on amazon and it came with a black onesie. It is really small. I couldn´t close the onesie and I also had to add more elastic to the skirt. It is one size fits all, if you are ordering the next size there will be a two on the onesie. It was okay for us cause I tucked the onesie into the tights and she only wore it for about an hour and didn´t seem uncomfortable. The second outfit was her comfy theme look. I got this red polka dot set on amazon as well and I was just as cute as the first. I ordered the 90 cm which was still a little big but better than the other way around.

The Sentimentals

Since it was her first birthday I printed some pictures of her as a newborn and added the date. It is a personal touch and a very emotional experience to do so but I loved going through all of her newborn pictures.

Congratulaions for staying with me. It was such a long post but there were lots of details and I had so much fun planning it all for her even if we didn´t have guests other than the grand-parents. Hopefully next year will be different.

Wishing you a happy weekend. See you.

11 Months with Emilia…

….

Happy Saturday,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

wow where to start, where to start. It has been quite some time since I have updated you guys on Emilia´s progress. She is now 11 months and one week old which means we are in her birthday month now. I am planning a Minnie Mouse birthday party for my little girl and I hope so much that she will be excited as much as I am.

She recently started walking which is amazing. I never thought she would start this early and I am so proud of her. It is the cutest thing when she waddles around with her tiny little feet and tries to kick away everything in her way.

Another thing she loves is looking at pictures. We need to look at all of our photos in our house over and over again. Same with books. It is the cutest thing when she picks out a book and starts “reading” it. Also a book won´t be great if there aren´t dinosaurs or dogs in it.

Emilia can say Mama and Papa and she can make like a fish when you ask her to. She winks when she has to go to bed or if someone is leaving.

She takes two big naps a day for which I am very glad cause otherwise I wouldn´t be able to get stuff done.  Now on to solids. We had our fair share of problems with introducing solids. I thing she just didn´t get the concept of why she suddenly had to add food to her diet when she was totally satisfied by her milk.

I had all the big plans on making baby food by myself and tried so many different vegetables but it was two spoons full and then done. Meanwhile we have found some things she will definitely eat containing oatmeal, chocolate pudding, pear, cheese, spaghetti and bread. It isn´t the variety I had wished for but to be honest this is a win in my book plus our pediatricin said that eating before their first birthday is still just a game to babies.

So that post was long overdue hence the long text but thanks for sticking with me. This is it for today. I am going to share recent baby finds on the blog next week plus I am planning on sharing our daily schedule which took us about 9 months to get there.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
