Christmas Tree Decor 21 – Color Theme Red and Green…

….

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/

I finally came around to shot a close up of my tree. To be honest I have done many trees the last few years but this years tree might be my absolute favorite – or am I saying this every year!!!

The color concept for our Christmas tree is as simple and classic but as chic and beautiful as possible. It is Red and Green – THE  original Christmas colors in my opinion.

I always start by adding the plain ornaments to the tree and go from there. For this year´s concoction I went with all red and green ornaments. After that I added tartan print bows and glittery poinsettias in green and red. The poinsettias might be my favorite feature of the tree.

Afterwards I go and get our special ornaments like the pickle or the Mickey bubble and place them all over tree. The last thing I add are the lights. They are just clip on and super easy to put on.

I also got some fun things like the candy canes and candies so Emilia can also grab some things from the tree. We also started a new tradition this year. I am letting her pick one new ornament every year (going to write the year onto it) and then place it somewhere on the tree. This will be so much fun and when she is old enough and moving out she can start decorating her Christmas tree with all the cute ornaments she collected over the years.

She was very interested the first two or three days and always wanted to grab some ornaments but now she only wants to turn on the lights of the tree and look at it.

Happy Monday you guys,

(post contains affiiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

it was a pretty relaxed weekend over here with lots of naps and food other than that I caught on blog stuff and we baked gingerbread cookies together with Emilia.

It was her first time doing something like that and since she loves to help in the kitchen she was super happy about it and of course ate some of the dough too but I mean that´s what baking is all about am I right?!

The gingerbread dough was pre-made and cooled so it was pretty easy to handle. In fact I got it from the food section of Ikea. Yes you heard that right. We went to Ikea just for cookie dough.

All of my decor like the gingerbread baloon is from Pink Dots Party Store. You can shop after seasons and / or colors so it is a pretty easy experience. I get so many of my party stuff from there no matter the ocassion.

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsreod)

we had the first snowflakes today and Emilia was so happy about it and showed them to me several times. She is in such a cute stage it is amazing how sweet she is at times.

Finally able to share some gift guides with you guys and I wanted to start with a toddler gift guide cause it might be the easiest for me. I actually wanted to get only two presents for Emilia but somehow I caved and got her a lot more cause she has shown interest in so many things lately I went with a lot more things than planned but hey we just gonna save it for the next kid am I right?!

I got the Kinetic Sand weeks ago cause Emilia loved to play in her sandbox all Summer and she missed it a lot but it is just super cold outside so this was a huge hit and it is super easy to clean up. Doesn´t bother me at all.

Other things I got for her are the craddle and a baby doll, the play kitchen and some cute wooden food to play with and the vacuum cleaner cause every time I vacuume she wants to join so bad. My little helper girl.

Emilia´s Whimsical Christmas Tree…

….

I couldn´t feel more joy than looking at Emilia´s little pink Christmas tree. These are the things I have been waiting to experience with my daughter and it is so fun.

To be honest I did not want to get her a tree this year since I thought she would be too young to understand but you can clearly see how much she loves it and she definitely knows that it´s her because she calls our big tree Mama´s tree.

A pink tree was never on my radar but in my opinion it turned out perfect. The pink, white and clear ornaments are the cutest and the bows and poinsettias round-up the whole theme. I went with a whimsical fairy swan and glitter theme and even my husband thinks it is beautiful.

He has to look at all the ornaments with Emilia every night and I just stand in the door and watch and it is the cutest. I have a good feeling that this Christmas could be even better than the last one.
