Happy Thursday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not spnsored)

if the last year has taught us anything it´s that your health is most important overall. With a world wide pandemic still going strong many people got sick and still aren´t recovered fully.

Even if you are a mindful and healthy eater you probably won´t get enough of the vitamins you should have for a healthy metabolism and strong immune system cause most of the processed foods or vegetables/fruit don´t have what it takes to help you out in this department.

Don´t get me wrong we try to eat as healthy as possible but sometimes you need support in certain areas of your live.

Supplements I am taking

First and foremost I am not a doctor and I have no medical knowledge therefore I am not recommending to take anything without talking to one. This is just an example what I take and what helps me stay as healthy as possible in these unsure times.

Vitamin C // Vitamin C is the classic, the mother of the vitamins. A few hundred years back and in some areas still Vitamin C was used to treat and prevent scurvy cause if you have a high shortage you teeth could fall out for example. Nowaday Vitamin C is used to protect cells and keeping them healthy, maintaining healthy skin and bones.

Vitamin D // Almost every adult has a shortage on Vitamin D which is definitely alarming for a country like Germany where we have access to everything. The body is able to absorb Vitamin D from certain foods like spinach, kale, soy beans and okras as well as from direct sunlight but still not as much as the human body would need to be satisfied. Vitamin D is important for your brain. It helps to lighten your mood but it will also support fertility plus taken together with calcium it helps to maintain strong bones and prevent diseases like osteoporosis.

Vitamin B6 // This also has been one of the vitamins I have taken since I found out I was pregnant. It is supposed to help with your energy level, boost your immune system and help with blood formation.

Zinc // Another great supplement. Zinc helps the immune system fight off bacteria and viruses. The body also needs zinc to make proteins and DNA, the genetic material in all cells. During pregnancy, infancy, and childhood, the body needs zinc to grow and develop properly.

Magnesium // I have been taking this since early in my pregnancy cause it had very bad ligament pain and taking magnesium three times a day helped a lot so I got very used to it and take it as well. Probably what helped to prevent sore muscles after starting to work out again but Magnesium itself has other great benefits too. It´s regulating blood pressure, supporting the immune system and helps with muscle and nerve function.

Selen // This is a new to me supplement I recently incorporated into my daily rations. It is known to help with thyroid function and protects your body from damage by oxidative stress. Selenium can also give you a great boost for your immune system and helps to prevent heart disease.

Omega 3 // Omega 3 or the fatty acid is known as the heart supplement. It can help prevent cardivasculare diseases and helps very well with inflammation. I have been using this for a while now but to be honest I hate how big the capsules are.

Pill Box is from amazon and it helps me stay on top of my daily doses.

Instagram Round-Up February…

….

Happy Wednesday ladies,

(

it is finally March and as great it is that we are heading towards Spring it definitely is bittersweet because my little girl is turning one in 3 1/2 weeks. I can´t believe it and what´s even more impossible is that we had been in lockdown the year she was born and will still be when she turns one.

Anyways Feburary hasn´t been my best month in terms of taking tons of pictures. It has been better than the last couple of years but I still was in my flunk but with Spring approaching I am outfit planning like a crazy person and can´t wait to share everything with you. I am even planning on adding another style segment to the blog and Instagram but more on that later.

See you tomorrow with a new update on Emilia. I have been very unconsistant with taking monthly pictures of her but it get´s trickier every month since she is on the move and doesn´t have time to sit still.

Happy Tuesday you guys

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

and welcome to my first as „Spring“ marked post in 2021. I think we all have been longing for a new season and change after a long dark winter with nothing to do but staying at home.

The start of Spring, the better weather and the sunshine give me a feeling of being able to breath again. I am not thriving through January and February although it is my birthday month and Valentine´s Day, which I love but there is something about the darkness and everything outside is either brown or a dead green.

Anyways enough chit chat – for now – I wanted to share this casual Spring look with you today (and for all my color lovers, don´t worry, a lot more colorful outfits are on their way).

This is less color than I would usually wear but by adding a red lip I thought it looked great and ended up heading out the door. By the day Spring weather starts I immediately crave lighter colors so this light washed denim has been perfect.

On another note have you seen my great canvas handbag? It has been a birthday gift and I was waiting for the better weather cause somehow a canvas handbag doesn´t work with Winter wardrobe. It is from Lily & Bean, a UK company which sells tons of different styles and the best you can personalize all of them. I mean give me a monogramm and some cute colors and I am in. I choose blush, red and orange for the middle stripe cause these are the three colors I wear the most in Spring and Summer time.

Are you guys already shopping for Spring?

Happy Monday to all of my beautfiul readers,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

I wanted to talk about about a beauty product today which has had the biggest hype for the longest time and I know I might be late to the game but I had my ups and downs with it and wanted to make sure to try everything before sharing an honest review with you guys. The product I am talking about is the Shape Tape concealer from Tarte.

What is the Shape Tape?

The Shape Tape is a concealer by Tarte. It is cruel free, dermatology tested, waterproof with 16 hour wear and so much more. It is 27 Euro which is much for a concealer but I was curious cause so many people raved about it – a lot.

Coverage

The coverage of the product is amazing. I am shade 12 N fair neutral and it fit´s my skin perfectly. Makes the areas I apply it to appear a lot lighter but doesn´t look excessive light. A little goes a long way too which is always great for expensive make-up products.

Longevity

So now this is the part that is not convincing myself. I have tried everything. Applying the concealer on its own, with facial oil, with face cream, with a sponge and a brush and of course with fingers, under and over my foundation but I have never been happy. After some time it is getting REALLY dry and looking so cakey plus it is somehow gathering in the fine line under my eyes. I hate it when my make-up does this and nothing won´t work either.

Conclusion

To be honest I think it is a great product and I wanted to make it work so bad but it is just not happening for me. Maybe it is my foundation or my skin I really can´t figure it out.

Have you been using the Shape Tape? I would love to know what you think about it!!
