Necklace Layering 101…

….

Necklaces have been a very popular piece of jewelry especially gold ones and also plenty of them. Necklace layering is super popular no matter the season. It looks very chic with a turtleneck and like a day in Saint Tropez with a tan and a sundress. I am sharing 4 ways to layer your necklaces today. All of them are a little different but work great to mix and match.

4 Ways to layer your Necklaces

Layer Pre-Made Pieces – There are plenty of sets that are already pre-made so they fit together perfectly lengthwise and colorwise. Mine is from Pieces and was super affordable. H&M has great options as well as Zalando. Super pretty to pair with V-neck tops or high cut tops or dresses.

Layering Chunky Pieces – A great way to put some glam on your chunky sweaters and tone down formal blazer jackets.

Layering Chunky and Delicate Necklaces – Amazing way to wear all of your beloved necklaces at once. A delicate short necklace paired with a long chunky one definitely adds a lot of interest to your look.

Layering Delicate Necklaces – A short and a long necklace definitely are the best team to pair up with. A pair of two delicate necklaces work great with delicate tops, dresses and all the ocassions you want to wear jewelry that itsn´t standing out.

Purple is THE Color for the Season…

The new Pantone color of the year is Very Peri and I have to say I am not mad about it. Purple has been out of the focus for so long although it is a brilliant, vibrant and beautiful shade.

I for myself have gotten some pieces in lavender, a light hue of purple which is perfect for Spring. It is an awesome color to pair with a bright yellow for example or shades of cognac brown but looks also very cute with a black and white outfit.

The cardigan I am wearing above has been on heavy rotation and probably will be until the temps are finally getting warmer.

When I look some years back I never thought of myself wearing the dress and sneaker combo but I like it a lot these days. Maybe because I am six months pregnant or chasing after a toddler all day or just because it adds some casualness to a look by wearing a crisp white pair of sneakers.

Best of Sweatshirts for Spring…

….

Happy Monday,

Spring is right around the corner I just can feel it will be here soon. Since I am almost entering my third trimester comfort is key and cute oversized graphic sweatshirts are right up my alley.

Graphic sweatshirts have become pretty cool over the last few years. Fun colors, big prints or cool pictures plus the zipper to add some nineties flare.

For a casual look you can wear the sweater with a pair of denim, a pair of colorful joggers or bootcut leggings or over a rib knit dress.

I got quite the selection of sweatshirts. Love that none of them are cropped so they will definitely cover a big and small belly unitl the weather gets better.

Why Meal Prepping not only saves Time but Money…

….

We all have been there. You are going to the grocery store super hungry and buy each and every piece you could eat right away in your car, pay a lot at check-out and still have nothing proper to cook a meal at home.

This is the reason I started meal planning for the whole week ahead cause I have always got groceries after work and it was the same every damn time. I love to use Pinterest, Instagram or my cookbooks as inspo. We don´t cook new meals every week but change up some things from time to time.

So why should meal planning save you time and money

– you will only buy what you have on your list

– you know exactly what you have home and what you are you going to cook so there will be less ordering out

– you save time cause you are not wandering around the store and search for meal ideas

– you also save time by only hitting the grocery store once a week

– recipes are mostly free if you are using Pinterest and Instagram as your source

– you can cook the most versatile menus every week

I first cook all the fresh produce and for example meats and then process all the other products later in the week. I have found an amazing meal planner on amazon which makes the whole procedure very clear. On the left side is a column to write down your planned meals and on the right side is place to make a list off all the ingredients your will need. It can be separated as well so your weekly meal plan can stay on the fridge as it is magnetic.

Try it out and tell me what you think. In my opinion there is always room to improve.
