Happy Hump Day you guys,

I am finally coming around posting our “newborn” pictures on the blog. They turned into a little family shoot and I think they are all adorable especially the ones with our precious baby.

If you have followed my story a little bit you might know that my whole photo session plan went wrong. I wanted to have the first shoot 24 after birth in the hospital but due to the Coronavirus no visitor where allowed and so no photos could have been taken. It was the same drama with the newborn photos as we all have been on lockdown and no one could visit but here we are. We finally got beautiful pictures of our baby girl.

She has the sweetest little personality and is always smiling at people. I am so in love with her and still can´t believe that she is all mine and I can keep her. She will be 3 months on Saturday and time has really flown by. We have settled into our new routine and are pretty comfortable with how things work over here now. I am going to share her 3 months update next week.

Coordinating our looks has been so much fun and I love to find matching pieces for family photo shoots. I already wrote about it in a post, you can read about it here.

From the moment I knew I was pregnant I was so so excited to order the stroller of my dreams. I have first seen the Bugaboo brand years before I even had in mind to get kids and loved it right away. The cool styles and vibrant colors were so different to other strollers than I have seen and I definitely wanted to have one when the time has come.

And my time came. I was so excited about it and had to contain myself not to order right away. Nevertheless I made to week 20 before I ordered our stroller. I went with the Bugaboo Donkey Duo and here is why.

The Bugaboo Donkey Duo Review

That I wanted a Bugaboo was crystal clear to me but what model would it be. After I saw the Bugaboo Donkey on Rachel Parcell´s blog I was sold. I have never seen a stroller with a bag on the side before and oh my is it practical. Not only for transporting all of the baby´s stuff but also for small grocery runs or even if you just want to put your handbag in there.

It folds up in under one minute which is super convenient when you are in a rush but the one upside it takes up a lot of trunk space so if you are having a small car it won´t fit in your trunk. I am still wondering how our first vacation will be with limited luggage space plus the frame itself is pretty heavy. It is manageable to put it into the trunk by myself but it needs some muscle strength.

We got the all gray version and I purchased the yellow cover for the side bag and a yellow sunroof. To be honest I wanted the off-white version but it is no longer continued and also the bright yellow is such a beautiful and happy color for both genders.

The wheels are huge which makes them run very smooth and silent. You can also buy silver rims for your stroller if you like it extra fancy.

One of the additional pieces that I definitely needed was the cup holder – I mean as a new mom I need my coffee and doesn´t it look great to have it with you why taking a stroll.

You can also get an adapter for your car seat so you don´t have to take the bassinet with you everywhere.

The Bugaboo Donkey Duo includes the bassinet as well as the seat for kids from 9 kg and up. You can also make it wider and have both of the seats side by side. So in conclusion, the stroller is expensive but if you are planning on having a two kids close in age this will really pay off.

Happy Friday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/ Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

it is a holiday over here in Germany and boy it has been the most boring day ever. In normal times I would love to have a holiday but since we are staying home due to the Coronavirus every day is the same and today had been especially bad. It is rainy and cold outside and so we couldn´t do anything outside although I got a lot of shots done I still feel blah. But I guess some days are rather fun than others.

So let´s talk about this whole #socialdistancing thing. We are home all the time and there are so many things we can get accomplished, we never had any time before and that is great. Also being around the people you love all the time is a huge blessing (at least for us over here) but being together all the time can be hard on some couples too so you have to find some time for yourself.

Everyone needs some downtime alone even if it is just a short shower but having some time to yourself helps to keep your mood in a good place.

It really depends on what your preferences are. Having a glass of wine while reading your favorite magazine marks an hour well used. Or if you like organizing and it makes you feel good go and clean out a closet/drawer etc. I personally enjoy that a lot and I feel much more accomplished and happier after.

Times are hard at the moment with all the restrictians and lockdowns but if you want to stay happy while you have to stay at home its the little things that make your day.
