Happy Wednesday you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

it is a big day over here today as I am turning 30. I have to admit I wasn´t quite sure what to think about that -not that I could have stopped it in any way – but I think I am fine with it.

In fact there isn´t a thing I could be sad about. I have a great husband, a pretty house, a super cute dog and a baby girl on the way so there isn´t a thing I could wish for more – at least in my personal area.

One thing I got myself for my birthday which also has been a long dream of myself has been a designer bag. To be more exact a Louis Vuitton Neverfull. I have saved up money for this bag for years and managed to get it two days before my 30th birthday although it has been sold out for months prior. I call that very lucky.

We spent the afternoon in Nuremberg for Starbucks coffee and more Starbucks coffee. That has been my request as our nearest Starbucks coffee shop is about an hour away in every direction. It ended up being a great day having dinner at one of our favorite Greek restaurants and my parents and in-laws.

I have never been super into celebrating my birthday and really don´t make a fuss about it. Having a nice day and going out for dinner is really enough for me.

Hope you also had a great hump day today. The week is almost over. Just one and a half to go. See you tomorrow.

5 simple tasks to make your Monday mornings more bearable…

monday´s, monday morning, week planning, planning, plan ahead, trying to like monday´s, staying ahead of mondays

monday´s, monday morning, week planning, planning, plan ahead, trying to like monday´s, staying ahead of mondays

….

Happy Monday morning y´all,
it´s Monday morning, your alam clock is going viral, you are tired as hell and your bones feel heavier than ever. There is still a lot to do until you can get ready for work and leave the house and honestly you really don´t feel like queen of the day. I got you girl. Waking up and looking like in the picutres above probably only happens once in a lifetime or on a well rested vacation. but I can help here.
I know most of us hate Mondays and that is just natural, cause the first day after the weekend is always the most dreaded one. If it was Tuesday we all would hate Tuesday. There are just a few people I know who seem to like the first day of the week or make it seem like they do.

And guess what ? We can be one of them too. I am sharing five simple tasks you can complete before the new week, to somewhat look forward to it.

#1 Clean up your kitchen on Sunday night

This might be kind of random but believe me, the feel of a clean and tidy kitchen is unbeatable. You can spare yourself the upcoming stress of entering your kitchen in the morning and finding a huge mess you need to clean up after work which already puts you in a bad mood. Do yourself a favor and take care of that the night before.

#2 Make a nice appointment

Book yourself a beauty treatment or go to a sports class you like or even make your own beauty night at home on Monday. Just schedule something  nice you are looking forward too and the first day of the week will go by way faster. Believe me. I always have my line dance class on Monday and I love it, so there is at least one thing on Mondays I really like and go right after work. This leaves a positive feedback of the day on your mind.

#3 Work off everything on the day before going into the weekend

I know this is not possible all of the time but at least try to get rid of the tasks you´ve been avoiding all week.

Preparation is key…

#4 Lay out your clothes the night before

If you are anything like me you will need to do that. I am in no way a morning person and I can´t decide on anything in the mornings and also have no kind of creativity or whatsoever. I really can not find something to wear. I would stand in front of my closet and stand and stand and wouldn´t find a single thing to wear. This is why I am preparing my outfit the night before includig everything that goes with it from underwear to jewelry. I have been doing this for years (for every day) and it saves me a huge amount of time.

#5 Meal prep

That´s a easy one but often forgotten in all the hurry of the days. If you are cooking regularly this is for you. I like to eat the leftovers of dinner for next days lunch so I am always making a little more than we need. Also if you prefer cold dinner you can easily prep salad bowls for 3 days in advance. We don´t have a cafeteria at work or anything to get food in under 20 minutes nearby so I would have to take food with me anyways and to make sure I like and eat it I change the meals I am prepping weekly.

Have you ever tried any of these tipps ? I am constantly trying to improve myself to start fresh and looking forward into the new week. It is so hard for me as I am so not a morning person but I have the feeling the stricter I am the better it gets.

Do you have any other tipps please feel free to share in the comments.

As always thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.

Good morning you guys,

(post contains affiliate links/Werbung/Markennennung/Beitrag enthält Affiliate Links-not sponsored)

today´s post really gets me excited. I am a organization -let´s say- freak and I can totally get my fix out of it. When I am cleaning up our house on a daily base and nothing is standing around and it looks nice and smells good I get a deeply satisfiying and happy feeling. Everytime I walk by I can only smile. I know this is super weird and some might think how can someone be so obsessed with cleaning and a tidied up house but I am. I never took and eneagramm test but I would probably tend to be a 1 in this field.

I totally hate it if a thing hasn´t a place to go. Stuff lying around without a reserved spot in a closet or drawer makes me nervous. I recently redid my pantry and that was my absoulte nemesis haunting me in my dreams. Why is this room always such a mess?

Anyways I have 5 tipps for you today to make organizing your home a little easier cause it seems daunting and overwhelming starting right in the middle and you might think you will never get the job done.

1 // Choose sections one at a time

You can´t tackle everything at once. The mess you have to make to get a drawer / section organized will drive you mad cause you have to clear out everything first to have an overview on which amount of stuff you have to work on.

2 // Declutter first

Declutter before organizing. Getting rid of stuff before you are sorting things back in is essential. First of all it creates new space and second of all you don´t have to touch the stuff twice which saves a huge amount of time and nerves. Also a great tip if you have a upcoming move. You will save so much time unpacking and also a bunch of full boxes. You can always donate things which are still fine.

3 // Order in category piles

This will be your rough grid of how many catgories you have and how high the amount of things is for each. It is essential for step 4 cause otherwise you will again have to much items lying around in your house you don´t need.

4 // Get the right baskets / labels

Since you know now exactly how many different boxes you will need you can go to the Home Depot or Ikea or the Container Store or oder from amazon but boxes to store your stuff are important. Be sure to get labels (or a label maker if you are a professional) as well and pens to write onto these (often forgotten). It will give you a feel of relieve when everything goes into a place and is organized and put away.

5 // Incorporate a system into your daily routine

So the last tip requires a little persistence because you won´t be as cluttered as before if you are putting back the items you need every day. I know this may seem ridiculous but there really is a work relief behind it. It is just like any other habbit you have. It needs time to establish but after a few weeks you will do it automatically.

Even if you are just starting to get your home organized or you are a long time organizer like I am and love to improve on your system I hope this has been a little helpful. I get most of my bins, boxes and baskets from Ikea. They have a great variety on size, material and color.

If you have any questions left let me know. Thanks for stopping by. Take care. See you.
